The casting of lots is an ancient practice using stones or wooden disks inscribed with the letters of the Hebrew alphabet which was originally pictographic and still carry those meanings.

WHAT IS TAROT?

It’s a tool. It’s a language - several. It’s the ancestor of playing cards. Like playing cards, it has four suits: Wands, Swords, Cups, & Pentacles. The major arcana consists of 22 cards, and each suit has four court cards: King, Queen, Knight, & Page. Tarot speaks to the reader's subconscious mind, through symbolism, numbers, archetypes, mysticism, and more. It unlocks the reader’s capacity to get information. I first studied tarot in 1974. I have gotten better since then. I am still capable of being wrong, but I guarantee it will be the most accurate wrong that I can be. Yes, my humor permeates nearly all I do.
