Our expert weaver learned the dying art of Appalachian Weave from a master artisan of broom-crafting, Marlow Gates, owner of Friendswood Brooms in Asheville, NC. Since then she has taught her husband, son and daughter-in-law the art. She has also developed her own methods for handle construction as well as other techniques for attaching the broomcorn and other materials to the handles.
Made with care and attention to the smallest details our brooms are unconditionally loved by our customers. In addition, we are happy to customize a broom for weddings, handfastings, house warmings or other special occasions. Please contact us for additional information.
