In addition to the beauty of the wood, our wands are adorned with other of Nature's art forms, such as crystals, metals, and other materials for their energies as well as their beauty.

The type of energy called for is supported and strengthened by factors including the type of wood, types of crystals, and, of course, the user.  Water is the elemental correspondence to cherry trees, but differently so from willow.  Cherry is associated with the cycle of life and makes for a powerful tool in many types of related workings.
